apps, but like with their other subscription based solutions now, you
have to leap through rings of fire, and complete a Zork like adventure
to complete the mission.
They don't want people buying the software anymore, and really make it
hard to do so.
I did eventually find this item in the FAQ:
'If you purchase the desktop only version after your trial, it may not
have all the updated features you were able to enjoy during your trial.
To ensure all the same features of your trial, you can upgrade to
Acrobat Pro DC with services which includes Acrobat Pro DC for your
desktop with all the latest updates, the Acrobat Reader mobile app, plus
online services.'
Which implies a standalone version is available. However, clicking on
the 'Buy' link only brings up the subscription options. It does seem
impossible to buy a standalone licence.
Perhaps try downloading the trial version, and see if it works as a
direct payment from within the app.
